General Manager - Martin Collins USA
We are a leading equine synthetic footing company seeking a motivated, skilled and dynamic individual to join our USA team as the General Manager. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing aspects of our operations and day to day management of the American business.
Objectives of this Role
Provide Strategic Direction and oversight to MC USA
Developing growth of the company and recruitment of a new staff
Developing new operational headquarters
Maintain constant communication with management, staff, suppliers and customers to ensure proper operations
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
Grow the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance and sustain MC USA’s internal capacity
Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives
Strong time management, operational and organisational skills to ensure the business delivers world- class surfaces products on time and within budget.
Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
Project management
Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed
The role responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Group CEO of Martin Collins Enterprises Holdings
Oversee all operations and business activities
Develop high-quality business strategies and objectives
Implementation of the company strategies
Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships
Ensure company compliance and regulatory requirements
Develop & enhance the corporate culture
Staff Development
Maximise returns to the business
Train, motivate and lead the team
Create a financially strong business and reports
Assessing risks to the business and ensuring these are monitored and minimised
Ensuring the business maintains a high social responsibility
Hands-on Management role
Liaising with the marketing company
Excellent client communication skills
Direct sales
Working with existing approved contractors
Developing new approved contractors
Stock management
Quotes and Tenders
Preparing reports as required
Attending trade shows Personal Attributes/Aptitudes:
Self-motivated and organized
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to prioritise in a timely manner
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work unsupervised and remotel
Ability to travel within the USA and overseas if required
Knowledge and Experience:
Understanding of the equine industry
Proven track record in management
Demonstrated experience in sales
Strong computer literacy skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
